As Yalıkavak Sailing Club, former Sports Director of the Turkish Sailing Federation, Fatih Özmen, joined our team, which grows and becomes stronger every year within the scope of our investment in human resources and the importance we attach to it.
Fatih Özmen, who started sailing at Istanbul Sailing Club Sailing School in the summer of 1990 and became a national sailor in the following years, graduated from Marmara University Physical Education and Sports High School.
As the Olympic National Team Coach, the athletes that he coached were successful in participating in the 2004 and 2008 Olympics.
In 2003 and 2005, he received the “Outstanding Achievement in Sports” from the Prime Ministry General Directorate of Youth and Sports and the “Coach of the Year” awards from the Turkish Sailing Federation.
He shared his knowledge in seminars and courses he gave to trainers and managers as a member of the Education Board of the Turkish Sailing Federation between 2001 and 2004. He has also established Turkey’s most comprehensive sailing schools since 2004.
He completed the “International Camp Director Course” held in Sydney (Australia) in 2013 and received the title of “International Camp Director”.
Fatih Özmen served as the sports director of the Turkish Sailing Federation between 2018 and 2021 and led our Olympic National team as the leader of the Delegation at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
