2022 Sailing Summer School Program
Each term lasts two weeks, for 07 – 13 age group at 10:00-13.00 and 10.30-13.30 and for 14 – 18 age group at 14:00 – 17:00 between on Monday – Friday as two separate group (group distribution is made by us). Totally 30 hours sailing training in 10 days during two weeks is realized.

• “Development Training” program is realised for participants who attend a second term or have “Base Training” certificate

Age Group
Participants aged betwwen 07 – 13 and 14 – 18 can be register to our school.
* Participants would be grouped with near age groups by considering their ability level, biological development abd social factors.
Certificate
Participants who attending our course achieving their ability targets would have Turkish National Training Program ”Base Training” certificate given by Turkish Sailing Federation which was accredited by World Sailing Federation. This certificate is valid all around the country and approved by Ministry of National Education. It certified that suitable education curriculum is implemented in road of a licensed sailor.
Each training term means to participants, who attend a new term, to attend next level certification program. There are two certification level in Sailing Summer School program.

Next step for the participants who have these certificates is licence phase.
Final Skills
Base Training
This training is the first step of sailing teaching which helps to learn sea culture and helping each other, to ensure being friend with nature, to support being free and self reliance. In this training it is purposed to identify every part of sailboat and equipment, to become a level in which sailing to and returning from specific points on the sea and to have all knowledge and skills on the boat.
Development Training
This training teaches adopting safety on both sea and land, knowing all equipment of sailboat and having enough naval knowledge to sail on the sea. Also it teaches to be more active on the sea, to overcome difficulties and to be faster. It is purposed with development training that reinforcing base training knowledge, teaching all sails, knowing all sails and transferring necessary meteorological information to keep in step with continuously changed sea conditions and overcoming difficulties such as head to wind, overturning etc. on the sea. It also purposed that participants have sailing knowledge and skills to help them sail safely on the sea.
Conditions for Attending School
Participants must know swimming. All sportsmen who attends our school accept and commit to obey all rules stated in informing guide. Additionally, “Registration Form”, “Declaration Form About Knowing Swim” and “Turkish Sailing Federation Commitment Form” must be filled and wet signed.
Training Boats
In Yalikavak Sailing Club we use 2021 modeled modern training boats which are specially designed for training and we ensure children to learn sailing without wearing in learning phase. We have boats from Optimist for one person to the group boats and they are suitable for every age, physical feature and social need.
Our Trainers
Our all trainers are the professionals who have particularly first aid and pedagogics, and all necessary education and certification. We ensure most suitable learning process for children and youngsters by our trainer staff who proved theirselves with their works in sailing for years.
Safety
All participants must wear floater assistant during all times they are in seaside. Our facility is a private sailing facility which is totally sheltered and closed for outer entrance. With COVID-19 protocols that we successfully apply from the beginning of pandemic we present touch-less training progress by using structure of our sport which is a nature sport. All operational action plans from risk analysis to emergency plans are made and we are ready for every kind of scenario with our knowledge.

Registration
The forms, which you can access by clicking on the links below, must be filled out and delivered to us with wet signature during registration. Registration is finalized upon completion of the payment process. Please contact us for training fee information and related forms.
IMPORTANT: When you fill out our online registration form, your information reaches our club. In addition, the printout of the registration form should be sent to us together with the DECLARATION FORM ABOUT KNOWING SWIM and TURKISH SAILING FEDERATION COMMITMENT FORM, with wet signature, during registration. After you fill out the registration form digitally, you can download it as a PDF.
